To ensure you're receiving the freshest coffee possible, we generally push orders placed over the weekend to the following roast week. So if you order on a Friday afternoon, your order may not be sent out until Wednesday. This also includes 5lb bags.

The Aricha washing station, in the words of the current manager, was a dump. Emphasis on past tense. In the few short years since the massive 2018 revitalization, and subsequent reopening of this regional processing center, Aricha has vaulted to international acclaim and has established itself as an integral link in Ethiopia’s legendary Yirgacheffe supply chain. Just one year after reopening, the Aricha community’s four submissions to the Ethiopian Cup made the final selection and ranked among top-scoring coffees in the auction. This led many farmers in the community to greater economic opportunity, and today the washing station serves over 1,000 smallholders annually as the popularity of Aricha continues on its meteoric rise.
Yirgacheffe coffees are known for their relatively clear and defined flavor profiles. Compelling notes of berry linger in the clean wash of acidity in this full-bodied coffee. We’ve roasted the Aricha to a modern light roast, which we feel is absolutely crucial to the preservation of these intense and luxurious flavors. The Aricha may also be our most flexible single-origin offering, as the flavors are just as compelling in espresso as they are in cold brew.
